The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has changed its guidance for British visitors to Thailand, no longer warning against travel to the country.
The guidance was relaxed after the government imposed night time curfew in Bangkok is lifted.
Although a state of emergency continues in the capital, the FCO said: "The overall level of the advice has changed; we no longer advise against travel to Bangkok and Chiang Mai. We currently advise British nationals in Thailand to exercise caution."
The FCO had previously advised against all but essential travel to Thailand, after violence and political unrest in the capital and elsewhere in the country.
