German carrier Eurowings is to launch two new routes between Germany and London Gatwick as part of its summer 2026 schedule.
Eurowings, which is owned by Lufthansa Group, will operate 13 flights per week from Cologne to Gatwick, starting on 29 March. This will be followed by a new Stuttgart-Gatwick route, which will fly six times per week from 13 April.
Reinald Frankewitz, head of network relations at Eurowings, said: “We are excited to expand our network in the UK and connect London Gatwick with two of Germany’s strongest cultural and economic regions. These new routes to Cologne and Stuttgart offer travellers even greater choice and convenience.”
The move comes as another German airline Condor is due to start flights between Gatwick and Frankfurt in April. These services will operate three times per day and will be the first time that Condor has served a London airport.
Gatwick’s short-haul network this summer has been further boosted by Norwegian’s planned new route to Aalborg in Denmark, which is due to operate twice weekly from 2 April.
