Etihad Airways has reported a 41 per cent jump in net profits for 2015.
The Abu Dhabi state-owned airline reported profits of $103 million compared with $73 million the previous year.
The performance, which marked the airline’s fifth consecutive year of net profitability, was helped by an 18.9 per cent year-on-year increase in passenger numbers to 17.6 million.
"Our profitability clearly demonstrates the success of our business strategy, based on organic growth boosted by our partnerships," president and CEO James Hogan said.
Revenue passenger kilometres, which measure passenger journeys, rose 21.3 per cent to 83.2 billion while available seat kilometres, which represent capacity, grew 21 per cent to 104.8 billion.
