Emirates has launched its iPhone app, following the launch of its iPad version earlier this year.
The new app includes features such as the ability to check-in and download boarding passes as well as push notifications for check-in, flight boarding, gate changes and baggage belt numbers.
Travellers using the app, which is available in the App Store, can also book flights, select seats and meals and manage Emirates Skywards frequent flyer accounts. Personal flight details, credit cards information, and product and service information are stored in the app, so users can view it offline.
Emirates senior vice-president Boutros Boutros said: "We have seen tremendously positive response to both our iPad and iPhone apps to date. Downloads and usage figures continue to rise, and feedback has been good.
"iPhone represents the majority of the mobile traffic to our web sites, and therefore we have launched on iOS first. Work is underway for an Android version, even as we continue to look at new features for our iPad and iPhone apps."
Emirates said it next plans to extend the app to Android devices.
Last week, Emirates and Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide announced they have joined forces to offer further benefits to members of both company’s loyalty programmes, with the creation of ‘Your World Rewards’.
