Easyjet CEO Carolyn McCall earned nearly £7.7 million in pay, benefits and bonuses in 2014, a slight drop of £99,000 from last year.
According to the airline’s annual reports and accounts McCall earned a basic salary of £677,000, £47,000 in pension payments, a bonus of just over £1 million and £5.9 million through Easyjet’s long-term incentive plan.
The pay reports come after Easyjet last month posted a 21.5 per cent rise in annual pre-tax profits helped by a 6.6 per cent boost in passenger numbers.
In the 12 months to September 30 the budget airline’s profits rose to £581 million and passenger numbers increased to 64.8 million.
Easyjet’s accounts also showed chief financial officer Chris Kennedy earned a total remuneration package of around £4.1 million, down from £4.5 million in 2013.
This included a salary of £418,000 and a long-term incentive plan of £3.1 million.
Easyjet said its outlook for the next 12 months was largely positive, although it warned costs per seat would increase by approximately 2.5 per cent due to rising airport, navigation and maintenance charges.
However, the airline also said an expected fall in fuel prices could drive costs down by as much as £22m over the next six months.
Earlier this year BBT editor Paul Revel spoke with the Easyjet boss to discuss future growth and its relationship with buyers.
