Easyjet has been forced to cancel some flights on Boxing Day and warned of disruption to other services after a two-day strike was announced by French cabin crew.
The walkout will start on December 25 0001 and run until December 26 2359. As the airline doesn't operate flights on Christmas day no passengers will be affected on this date.
The airline has yet to give further details on what flights to and from France will be hit but said affected travellers will be contacted and offered a full refund or the opportunity to rebook their travel on an alternative date.
In a statement the budget carrier said: "Easyjet will do everything possible to minimise the impact of the strike on its passengers which is why the airline has taken the decision to proactively cancel some flights on 26 December as a measure of precaution, to allow passengers to re-organise their travel plans for the Christmas holidays."
Passengers planning to fly to and from France are being “strongly recommended” to check the status of their flight on the airline’s website before setting out to the airport.
The strikes were called by French union groups SNPC and UNAC.
