Delta is to increase the number of flights from Heathrow to both Atlanta and Detroit this winter, in addition to adding a third daily flight to New York in September.
The carrier announced in May it would be increasing its flights between London Heathrow and New York JFK to three times-daily from September 20, and has now confirmed it will also increase services to the US cities of Atlanta and Detroit from November 1.
The LHR-Atlanta route will benefit from a second daily flight on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, while the LHR-Detroit service will gain a second daily flight on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
Both services will be operated with Boeing 767 aircraft, configured for 180 seats in economy and 36 in business class. Tickets will be available for the additional services from September 21.
Delta recently recommenced its daily service from Manchester to New York on May 2, and has announced details of its forthcoming $1.2bn facility at JFK's Terminal 4.
