Cityjet has introduced a new bag tagging system at London City airport, which it claims can reduce check-in time to under a minute.
Travellers can check-in online or at the airport kiosk, then weigh their bags and use their boarding pass at the self bag tag kiosk to generate a label for their luggage.
Cityjet passengers will then be directed to the designated bag drop zone where they can transfer the luggage themselves.
Cityjet CEO Christine Ourmieres said: “Our customers travel with us because we offer a fast and reliable service – cutting minutes off check in time may not seem like much, but it matters to our passengers who demand a speedy service.”
Declan Collier, CEO, LCY, said: “We are investing heavily in new technology and seeking innovative new ways to reduce the need to queue, to ease the journey through the airport and to help people make the most of their time with us.”
