British Airways is to operate its new A380 to San Francisco next summer, the airline has confirmed.
BA will operate five weekly A380 flights to the 'City by the Bay', which will become its third US superjumbo destination, during the summer 2015 season.
Outbound service BA287 will depart London Heathrow Terminal 5 on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and return as flight BA286.
The airline has previously announced it will fly the superjumbo to Washington, DC from October 2. It started operating an A380 service to Los Angeles in September last year.
BA is scheduled to take delivery of its seventh superjumbo shortly.
It will operate the 469-seat aircraft in a four-class configuration with 14 suites in First on the main deck, 97 Club World seats split between the upper and main deck in a 2-3-2 configuration, and 55 seats in the extended World Traveller Plus cabin and 303 World Traveller seats.
Lynne Embleton, BA's director of strategy, said: "San Francisco is a firm favourite with our customers so we couldn't be happier that they'll be able to fly there on one of the newest and most advanced aircraft in our fleet.
"They'll be able to enjoy a taste of luxury and relax all the way to the west coast in comfort and style, and be able to choose from more than 130 movies and 650 TV shows from our latest in-flight entertainment system, as well as enjoy the very best of height-cuisine."
