British Airways is launching four new routes from London City airport to European destinations as part of its summer schedule.
The airline’s BA CityFlyer subsidiary will operate services to Barcelona, Luxemburg, Milan Malpensa and Thessaloniki in northern Greece in summer 2022. BA previously flew to Milan’s Linate airport.
Meanwhile, flights to the Channel islands of Guernsey and Jersey will also resume after being launched last summer.
BA will begin flights to both Luxemburg and Milan on 27 March with the routes operating seven days per week. This will be followed by the launch of the Thessaloniki service on 18 June, with one flight per week, and finally to Barcelona on 19 June, which will operate six times per week.
Flights from London City to Jersey and Guernsey will operate on Monday and Friday from 20 June to 2 September.
Tom Stoddart, managing director of BA CityFlyer, said: “We wanted to offer new routes to some of the most popular European destinations. Conveniently accessible from London City airport, they are a great addition to our extensive network.”
Last month, British Airways revealed the first destinations that will be offered by its new Gatwick subsidiary, BA Euroflyer, which will launch operations in March 2022.
