Eurostar has confirmed it will cancel all services on its Brussels route next week after a nationwide strike was called for December 15.
Eurostar said all services will be cancelled and only be able to operate to and from Lille Europe next week.
Unions are striking over planned government austerity measures, which include scrapping a cost-of-living wage rise as well as cuts to public services and an increase in retirement age.
It follows strikes on Monday that halted all underground trains, trams and buses in Brussels as well as the suspension to high-speed trains to France, the Netherlands and Germany.
Industrial action involving baggage handlers also resulted in 267 departing flights, almost half of the total, being cancelled at Brussels' international airport.
It was part of a series of smaller regional strikes which will end with the nationwide day of action next week.
