British Airways (BA) is due to start twice-weekly flights to Cancun in November.
The airline will be the only UK scheduled carrier to offer direct flights to the destination from London.
The destination is BA's second in Mexico, after Mexico City.
A Boeing 777 fly the route, in a three-class configuration.
On Wednesdays and Saturdays, the flight departs Gatwick at 12.45pm, arriving into Cancun at 5.45pm.
The return flight, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, leaves at 7.15pm, arriving into Gatwick at 10.15am the following morning.
