British Airways (BA) will fly to Sweden's second largest city from November 28.
Richard Tams, British Airways' head of UK and Ireland sales, said the schedule is suitable for business travellers looking to fly to the city for a day of meetings.
"The schedule is perfect for day trips from the UK and timely connections onto our worldwide network," he said.
Flights will run from London Heathrow twice daily. The first flight will leave at 7.35am, arriving at 10.35am local time and the second at 3.10pm, arriving at 6.10pm.
Flights from Gothenburg to Heathrow, also twice daily, will leave at 11.20am local time, arriving at 12.30pm and 6.55pm, arriving at 8.05pm.
"We are really excited about flying to this fabulous city on the south west coast of Sweden. It boasts Michelin star restaurants, culture and Liseberg, the biggest amusement park in Scandinavia," added Tams.
Tickets for the new route are now on sale.
