British Airways and Iberia have both called a general meeting for November 29, when shareholders will vote to approve their merger.
The shareholder documents related to the vote were published today (October 27).
British Airways has also published a timeline for the completion of the merger, which, if all goes according to plan, will be effective from late January 2011.
After this date, the two companies will become part of the International Airlines Group, although each will continue to fly under their own brand.
BA’s current CEO Willie Walsh will head up the new joint company, with the airline’s current chief financial officer Keith Williams taking over the role of CEO of BA.
