Italian carrier Alitalia has unveiled a refreshed livery and brand, as well as announcing improvements to its onboard services.
Alitalia, which is now 49 per cent owned by Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways, has redesigned its logo to position the airline “as a leader in innovative and sophisticated flying, and to represent the best of Italy on the world stage”.
The airline also announced enhancements to its inflight and ground services across its business, premium economy and economy cabins onboard its long-haul aircraft.
These improvements include new food and beverage options across the three cabins, as well as onboard wifi and enhanced Panasonic inflight entertainment systems across its fleet of Airbus A330 and Boeing 777 aircraft.
The new services have been introduced on Alitalia’s new Airbus A330-200 aircraft, which is being introduced on to new routes from Italy to Abu Dhabi. They will then be made available onboard the rest of the long-haul fleet from July 1.
Ariodante Valeri, Alitalia’s chief commercial officer, said: “In line with the significant improvements in service and inspired cuisine in each of the cabins, guests travelling with us will enjoy superlative decor, furnishings and amenities representing the best of Alitalia and the best of Italy.”
