Italian carrier Alitalia started flights between Milan and Miami yesterday (June 3), with the Rome-Los Angeles route due to begin tomorrow.
The Milan-Miami service operates three times a week, on Monday Thursday and Saturday.
Flights between Rome and LA will operate on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

In other news from Alitalia, two new A330 aircraft being delivered this week are due to enter service in July on the Miami, New York and Tokyo routes.
The aircraft are the first to have been configured with Alitalia's new business class, Magnifica, offering lie-flat seats, and Classica Plus, the carrier's debut premium economy product.
The two new Alitalia A330 aircraft will be stationed at Malpensa and will be used on services to Miami, New York and Tokyo.
