British Airways and Easyjet have cancelled all flights from the UK to Sharm el Sheikh until January.
BA will not operate services to Sharm up to and including January 14, while Easyjet will not fly to the Egyptian Red Sea destination until January 6.
Both airlines said their decisions to cancel Sharm services until next year were taken following consulation with the UK government.
A Russian charter aircraft was destroyed by a bomb on October 31, shortly after leaving Sharm el Sheikh airport, killing all 224 people onboard.
Leisure airlines Thomson, Thomas Cook and Monarch have all cancelled flights to Sharm until December 9, 10 and 19 respectively so far.
Easyjet said in a statement: "To help provide some certainty for passengers over the Christmas period, Easyjet will be cancelling all flights to and from Sharm el Sheikh until January 6 and offering our passengers the choice of a full refund, a flight voucher or a flight to another destination within the Easyjet network."
British Airways said: "The safety and security of our customers will continue to be our top priorities in any decisions we may make."
Aviation minister Robert Goodwill said at the AOA conference in London: “In difficult circumstances, over 16,000 British travellers and their belongings were safely repatriated.
“The government’s first priority is the safety and security of the British people, and so as in Sharm el Sheikh we will act wherever we need to.
“Last week, the Prime Minister announced a doubling of our spending on global aviation security. We know that our airports will maintain their vigilance in the face of the continuing terrorist threat.”
