Air France has announced a wave of new cancellations due to the ongoing strike by pilot unions.
Several unions are currently taking four days of industrial action from June 11 to 14, although the stoppage will only affect Air France services and not sister carriers such as KLM and HOP.
Air France said it was planning to operate 85 per cent of long-haul flights on Monday (June 13) as well as 85 per cent of domestic flights and 70 per cent of medium-haul services to and from Paris Charles de Gaulle airport.
The airline also warned that there could be “last minute disturbances” to its schedule.
The disruption started just one day after the start of the month-long Euro 2016 football tournament, which is taking place across France.
Air France said it would publish its planned schedule for Tuesday (June 14) later on Monday “according to the estimated number of employees on strike”.
“If you are travelling on a flight operated by Air France, we propose you to anticipate or postpone your departure to avoid the period from June 11 to 14, 2016, if you have the opportunity,” said the airline in an advisory to passengers. “You may postpone your trip from June 15 to June 21, 2016 included, at no extra cost in the same ticketed cabin.”
