Irish carrier Aer Lingus is ramping up its transatlantic operations with the resumption on Thursday (12 May) of direct flights from Dublin to Los Angeles – the first time since March 2020.
The daily service to the US West Coast is the latest North American route to resume for Aer Lingus, following the reinstatement of flights between Dublin and Philadelphia in April, as well as flights from Shannon, in western Ireland, to Boston and New York in March.
The LAX route will also offer UK travellers the benefit of US Immigration Pre-clearance before they depart, which allows them to arrive into the US like a domestic passenger, avoiding lengthy immigration queues.
Part of IAG, Aer Lingus has ambitious transatlantic network restart plans, with Seattle and Miami to re-start later this year.
