TMC expands reach in the Middle East
Travel management company ATP International Group has announced plans to open offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, following a franchise agreement with Emirates-based travel company Orient Travel.
Further development under the agreement could see openings in other destinations, including Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Graham Ramsey, ATP Group's CEO, said: "Orient Travel has been a long-standing and trusted business partner of ATP for many years. This agreement strengthens our business relationship and takes it to a new level.
"These new ATP offices will cement our position as a major international TMC. The Middle East offers considerable growth opportunities for us - as well as handling existing ATP clients locally we will be better placed to seek out new clients."
ATP International has seen rapid expansion in recent months, with the acquisition of marine travel specialist Instone International in July. The company currently has 40 offices worldwide.
The Orient Travel and Tourism Agency first opened in Sharjah in 1963 and has expanded to 16 offices across the United Arab Emirates.
