Japanese carrier ANA has confirmed it will axe its daily Tokyo Narita-Paris route from October 25.
In a statement to BBT's sister publication Business Traveller Asia-Pacific, ANA said the cancellation reflected reduced demand for this particular route.
"To match with market needs, we decided to cancel our services between Narita-Paris from October 25. Haneda-Paris will continue to operate", a spokesperson for ANA said.
Earlier this week, ANA announced it was launching a route from Tokyo to Brussels – raising the number of European cities it serves direct to six.
The new route to the Belgian capital will start from the 2015 winter schedule, adding to the direct services ANA already operates from either Narita or Haneda to Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf, London and Paris.
ANA won Best Long-Haul airline at this year’s Business Travel Awards.
