Budget hotel chain Travelodge plans to start offering discounted room rate exclusively on Twitter.
In what the hotel group claims is a UK first, it will offer weekly deals on the social media site for the up-coming weekend.
A two-night stay will cost under £50 for both nights. The deal will be tweeted, and followers will be able to book online immediately, on a first come first served basis.
The campaign will focus on city centre hotels in the UK, such as in Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester or Edinburgh.
While currently focusing on weekend stays, a Travelodge spokeswoman told ABTN it may roll out mid-week offers if the campaign is successful - good news for business travellers.
