Renovation of the Crowne Plaza Hotel at Toronto Pearson International Airport has necessitated a $10m (”4.9m) spend.
The renovated hotel, part of the Intercontinental Hotels Group portfolio, will have nearly 500 rooms, 24 of which will be one and two-bedroom suites. Other refurbishments to the existing amenities include a new club floor, restaurant and state-of-the-art fitness centre.
”We are excited to be revitalising this hotel” said general manager, Paul Martin.
Furthermore, the new hotel will include the Crowne Plaza Sleep Advantage programme, which involves promoting all aspects of the hotel to provide a peaceful environment.
The programme works through the entire needs of the customer, including providing new bedding, quiet zones, night lights, sleep CDs, ear plugs and eye masks in a bid to reduce jet lag.
Crowne Plaza currently has 12 meeting rooms available to guests and additional meeting space is planned. The hotel also provides a complete meetings package.
The hotel has a Priority Club Rewards, the largest and fastest growing guest loyalty programme in the hotel industry. Enrolment is free and clients can join by visiting www.priorityclub.com.
Located just 3 km from the airport and in the vicinity of major highways, the hotel is only 20 minutes from downtown Toronto.
