Rezidor Hotel Group has announced three new hotels in the EMEA region, adding 768 rooms to its global portfolio.
The largest is the Radisson Tripoli, in the centre of the Libyan capital overlooking Al Fatah street. Close to a number of diplomatic residences, it is a 30min drive from the international airport.
The property is being renovated from an existing hotel, and is expected to open in September. It will comprise 333 rooms, a 400-seat convention hall, two meeting rooms, swimming pool, gym, and three restaurants, including one on the rooftop.
The second is a Quality Inn brand property in Weimar, Germany which will be converted into the Park Inn Weimar by the end of March. Close to the A4 highway, the 194-room hotel will feature ten conference rooms, as well as a restaurant, pool and bar.
Finally, the Radisson Olympic Hotel is in the Belarus capital, Minsk, 6.5km (4mi) from the railway station and 40km from the international airport. It will offer 241 rooms, conference and meeting areas and two restaurants. It is scheduled to open in spring 2010.
Rezidor plans to open 20,000 new rooms in the next two years, and currently has 309 hotels in operation and under development.
