The forthcoming The Londoner hotel in Leicester Square is to join Preferred Hotels and Resorts’ Legend Collection.
The property on the site of the former Odeon West End is set to open in 2020, as part of a complex on the southwest corner of the square which will also features a cinema, spa, restaurants and bars.
The Londoner, which will offer 350 rooms and 35 suites, is being billed as the UK’s “deepest” hotel, with the lowest floor 30 metres below ground.
The hotel, which will also feature a rooftop bar and a 1,000-capacity ballroom, will open for reservations next month for stays starting in spring 2020.

The Londoner is being developed by Edwardian Hotels, which owns and operates 11 Radisson Blu Edwardian hotels in London and Manchester, as well as The May Fair, a Radisson Collection Hotel, in London.
