UOL Group is opening its flagship extended stay product ” known as Pan Pacific Serviced Suites ” in Singapore in early April.
Catering specifically for overseas professionals, guests in any of the 126 suites will be able to rely on a Personal Assistant to provide them with information and useful contacts in the city. Available round the clock, they also organise travel, and offer access to business events and networks, as well as exclusive social events.
”We have undertaken research including focus groups with business travellers to find out what they seek in an ideal accommodation during overseas postings,” said UOL Group president and CEO Gwee Lian Kheng. ”This identified a prime opportunity in the market for us, which is offering a differentiated experience that recreates a home advantage by offering local connections to the city, so that overseas professionals will feel less of a foreigner.”
The property comprises one and two-bedroom Executive and Premium Suites, plus Penthouses, all equipped to function as offices, with wired and wireless internet connectivity, as well as Loewe LCD TVs in all rooms (including the second bedroom), a Bose home entertainment system, and iPod stations.
The suites are on Orchard Road, close to the city centre and 20min from Changi International Airport. Next to the Somerset MRT station, there is convenient connection to the central business district at Raffles Place, Marina Bay and the Suntec City International Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Residents will be provided with orientation tours of the area, airport transfers, delivered grocery shopping, complimentary pressing service, and will have access to support services including housekeeping, IT and emergency contacts. Personal trainers are also available in the fitness centre.
Price for a standard suite starts at $420 (”213) per day ” sized around 49 sq m (527 sq ft).
”The timing of this launch could not be better as globalisation continues to drive business expansion into Asia with corresponding growth in business travel,” said Kheng. ”With Pan Pacific Serviced Suites, we will be able to capture this demand which augurs well for the group”s strategic development plan.”
