Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts is to open its second hotel in Manchester this September in the Northern Quarter.
Crowne Plaza Manchester will have 228 guest rooms ” including, on the top floor, 24 Club rooms and the Plaza Suite - offering all the brand”s usual facilities.
The hotel will include nine conference rooms, with the largest accommodating up to 300 delegates in theatre-style seating.
”The whole city is within easy reach but the hotel is particularly well located for the MEN Arena, Sport City, the Printworks, Urbis and the numerous professional services companies based on and around Deansgate,” said Crowne Plaza Manchester City Centre general manager, Bob Fairweather. ”This will ensure it will appeal to the discerning business traveller and leisure guests alike.”
The property will have an angular design to the front, and windows made from multi-coloured glass that appears to change colour as the light alters throughout the day.
Fairweather added, ”Our new hotel will combine the power and high quality service of the Crowne Plaza brand with the contemporary look and feel of a boutique hotel.”
Crowne Plaza Manchester is operated by Liverpool-based hotel developer Centre Island and further details on the property can be found on the web at www.cpmanchester.com.
