Upmarket hotel brand Rosewood Hotels has opened its long-awaited property in central Amsterdam.
Rosewood Amsterdam is housed in the historic 17th century former Palace of Justice, which is located within the city’s Canal District.
The building has undergone 10 years of renovation before reopening as a 134-room hotel. The property also features five houses for “residential inspired” stays, plus Dutch restaurant Eeuwen, cocktail bar Advocatuur and a spa.
Radha Arora, president of Rosewood Hotel Group, said: “The opening of Rosewood Amsterdam marks a momentous occasion for our brand and a meaningful chapter in the story of this city.
“Breathing new life into the former Palace of Justice, we are honoured to give this historic landmark back to the people of Amsterdam - reimagined through the lens of purpose-led luxury.”
2025 is set to be a big year for Rosewood in Europe. The brand, which was featured in BTN Europe’s 2025 Hotlist, is also due to open Rosewood The Chancery in Mayfair, central London, in a renovated building that was previously home to the US Embassy. The property is now accepting reservations for stays from the start of September.
