Rocco Forte has received the Commitment to Excellence Award for its Hotel Savoy in Florence, at this week”s Leading Hotels of the World Convention in Monte Carlo.
The hotel was specifically commended in the cultural category for its work with Partners di Palazzo Strozzi Association in the Italian city. Situated in Florence”s historical city centre, the Palazzo Strozzi is one of the city”s most important symbols of Renaissance architecture.
Sir Rocco Forte himself jointed the Association in March this year and, along with other international business leaders, works to raise the profile of Florence as one of Europe”s key cultural centres.
The Hotel Savoy is a two-minute walk to the Palazzo Strozzi and for the business traveller, features two function suites that can accommodate 60 people.
