A real-time online booking system has been launched by QHotels for its 21 UK properties.
Designed by the group”s sales director, David Taylor, and built by a US-based software specialist, the system is easy to use, fast, and as trustworthy as making a booking in person at the hotel reception or over the telephone.
The customer selects the style of room they want from a drop down list, select a date for their stay, and the search begins (if they have a special requirement or promotional code they can enter this beforehand).
Results are displayed as a list, with detailed information about the rooms available with an image which displays when the user rolls their cursor over the description.
When ready to book, customers select the reservation and pay using their direct debit or credit card.
This can significantly increase the speed of booking, claims QHotels, but the choice of rooms available can be extensive, so it may take time to work through them to find a suitable choice.
In addition, customers can only book up to three rooms at any one time, so must call the hotel if they want more.
