Premier Inn said it has seen a 13.5% rise in sales in the 39 weeks to December 2 this year.
In its interim management statement released today (December 14), owner Whitbread also announced an increase in revenue per available room (RevPAR) of 9.2% over the same period.
The average RevPAR increased from £40.01 to £43.70 over the 39 weeks.
Occupancy at the budget hotel brand is likely to be 77% for the full financial year, up from 70.2% for 2009/10.
Andy Harrison, Whitbread’s recently appointed CEO, who was previously at budget airline Easyjet, said that business is continuing to perform well.
“The positive momentum in our business gives us confidence that, despite tougher comparitives and an uncertain outlook for consumer spending, the outturn for the year will be in line with market expectations for strong profit growth,” said Harrison.
For the six months to September 2, 2010, Whitbread reported a 14.5% increase in group revenue to £805.4 million.
