Rezidor Hotel Group has announced a new Park Inn will open at London’s Excel exhibition centre in the spring of 2013.
The new 20-storey hotel will have 223 bedrooms, a restaurant and bar, and a fitness room.
It will also have four meeting rooms, with a total space of 450 sqm.
It will be located 200 metres from Excel, which at 100,000 sqm is the largest event centre in London.
Kurt Ritter, Rezidor’s CEO, said: “We are delighted to announce this new flagship in the key market of London.
“This property will further strengthen the presence and brand awareness of our young and dynamic mid market brand Park Inn in the UK.”
The east London location has become much sought after in recent years. Starwood announced last June that it will be debuting its limited service Aloft brand at Excel in time for the Olympics in 2012.
