All Mint Hotel properties are to be rebranded as either Doubletree by Hilton or Hilton Garden Inn.
The move follows Hilton’s purchase of the Mint Hotel group in September.
Three of the eight properties (Glasgow, Bristol and Birmingham) currently operating under the Mint Hotel brand will join the midscale Hilton Garden Inn portfolio.
The remaining five (Amsterdam, Leeds, Manchester, London Westminster and Tower of London) will join the upscale group Doubletree by Hilton.
Patrick Fitzgibbon, Hilton’s SVP of development for Europe & Africa, said the hotels would joing a “fast-track transition programme that aims to see all hotels fully integrated into our Hilton Worldwide systems in the coming weeks”.
The Mint Hotels converting to Doubletree won’t need any major refurbishments.
Rob Palleschi, global head of Doubletree, said: “These five city centre properties in the UK and the Netherlands already have outstanding service and product attributes to represent the DoubleTree by Hilton brand.”
