HONG KONG'S very popular five star Kowloon Shangri-La, situated on the waterfront facing HK island just a five minute casual stroll from the Star ferry, has just completed a major £16m refurbishment.
First opened in 1981, the property has 700-rooms all with floor-to-ceiling bay windows and now equipped with Broadband Internet.
Perhaps the most interesting innovation is the new Cafè Kool, situated below ground level, offering no less than six open kitchens each with a mouth-watering range of dining experience.
There is Salad Counter, Seafood Station, Western Kitchen, Asian Kitchen and Indian Kitchen plus an abundance of waistline destroying desserts in yet another area.
