The Royal Bank of Scotland has sold Grosvenor House, a JW Marriott hotel, to Sahara India Pariwar.
Subrata Roy Sahara, chairman of the Sahara Group, said: "We are extremely happy to announce Grosvenor House joining the Sahara family."
The conglomerate, which also has businesses in the IT and media sectors, already owns the five-star Sahara Star hotel, near Mumbai's domestic airport.
Grosvenor House is the company's first international hotel project.
He said the the acquisition forms part of major expansion plans:
"In addition to the acquisition of Grosvenor House, London will be the gateway for Sahara to introduce some of its new business ventures, internationally.”
