Intercontinental Hotel Group, IHG says that a 72-room Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites is to open in Boston this summer.
Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Boston-Downtown is owned by Gemini Real Estate Advisors and managed by Germini Hospitality Management under a licence agreement with a company in the IHG portfolio.
”We invested $2m (”1m) in renovations to meet Holiday Inn Express brand standards,” said Holiday Inn Express general manager, Karla Lyon.
The newly renonvated five-story property will offer business travellers a variety of key amenities such as free high speed wireless internet access throughout the hotel, free local phone calls (U.S and Canada), a phone with private voicemail and an on-site business centre.
”Holiday Inn Express hotels are designed to be the smart choice for value-conscious business and leisure travellers,” said Holiday Inn brands senior vice president John Merkin.
”We know our guests will enjoy the experience of a unique historical property in one of the oldest cities in the US that still provides the contemporary comforts and services they have come to expect.”
The property is on 280 Friend Street and is in walking distance to historical attractions such as the New England Aquarium and Boston Harbour.
