IHG plans to open a Crowne Plaza in Denver this spring after a $10m (”4.95m) renovation of a Holiday Inn property, another of the group”s brands.
The 225-room hotel is ten miles (16km) from the city centre and Denver International Airport, the fifth busiest in the US - with nearly 50m passengers passing through in 2006 ” and a major hub for United Airlines.
It offers 80,000sq ft (7,430sq m) of meeting space, accommodating groups of up to 4,000 people, and features wireless internet throughout the building, a business centre with computers and printers, plus a restaurant, fitness centre and indoor pool.
The Crowne Plaza offers a two-hour response on meetings enquiries and bookings, and a personal assistant for managing them once they are set up.
