InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has opened its second property in San Francisco and plans two others on the US Pacific coast this year.
The 550-room InterContinental San Francisco is yards from Union Square in the city”s South of Market Area, on the corner of Howard and Fifth streets and adjacent to the Moscone West Convention Centre.
Well fitted out for business, the property has 43,000 sq ft (4,000 sq m) of dedicated meeting and function space across three floors, allowing for flexible configurations of up to 23 separate rooms.
Guests can also make use of a spa and health club and restaurant, and all rooms have WiFi broadband, flat-screen TVs and floor-to-ceiling windows.
The group will open the 208-room Clement Monterey ” with 15,000 sq ft of meetings space - in California in May, and InterContinental Montelucia Resort & Spa, Arizona, in the autumn. The latter offers 253 rooms, 40 suites and 34 private villas, and more than 26,840 sq ft of indoor and 70,000 sq ft of outdoor events space.
