Hotel group Hyatt is to open 120 new hotels in the US. The hotels will fall under the Hyatt Place brand.
The openings will be in key business and leisure markets, including Chicago, Dallas, Phoenix, Atlanta, Nashville, Phoenix, Tampa, Miami, Orlando and Detroit, as well as throughout the US. Hyatt Place Chicago/Lombard/Oak Brook, located just outside Chicago, opened in August.
Three hotel openings are planned imminently. The openings will be at With Scottsdale/Old Town in Arizona, Atlanta Airport-South, and Hyatt Place/Perimeter Center in Georgia.
"We did extensive research before beginning development on Hyatt Place and what stood out most to us was the fact that people are now leading blended lives but even though their lifestyles have changed, the select service hotel experience had remained stagnant," said Hyatt senior vice president Jim Abrahamson. "Based on those findings, we saw an opportunity to create a hotel experience that understands the way people are living their lives while at home or on the road.”
Hyatt Place guests will get spacious and contemporary rooms with sofas and free Wi-Fi and 42 inch flat panel high-definition television offering 11 channels of high-definition programming in addition to an already impressive channel selection.
Other features include The Gallery, which the hotel claimed is a warm and open area that features a personal greeting from the Gallery Host, as well as a self-registration kiosk, an intimate coffee and wine caf”, free Wi-Fi, a TV room and e-room with free access to a public computer and printer. Guests at Hyatt Place will also enjoy a free continental breakfast each morning or they may purchase a signature hot breakfast along with Starbucks” specialty coffees.
