IHG has announced the opening of Holiday Inn Cairo Citystars in the Citystars mixed-use leisure complex in Egypt”s capital.
The property has 311 guest rooms and will cater for what IHG calls ”an increasing number of mid-scale travellers in Cairo, who are looking for modern, attractive facilities at excellent value.”
For corporate guests, the hotel has four state-of-the-art banquet and meeting rooms and a fully equipped 24hr business centre with secretarial support.
All rooms are equipped with the latest technology, featuring flat LCD televisions and touch screen telephones, and the hotel offers a choice of four restaurants and bars, gym and an outdoor pool.
”According to the world Tourism and Travel Council (WTTC), Egypt”s travel and tourism industry is expected to grow by 5.4% per year between 2008 and 2017,” said IHG Middle East and Africa chief operating officer, John Bamsey.
”This represents not only continued growth but also increased opportunity for a dependable mid-scale brand such as Holiday Inn.”
The brand has 24 hotels in the Middle East and Africa with a further 14 in development, representing growth of almost 60%.
