Hilton has opened a new-build hotel in Valencia designed to cater for the meetings and events market, following a decade-long, multi-billion dollar investment programme.
Set in the north west of the city 6km (3.7 miles) back from the beaches and main tourist attractions where the majority of other international hotels are located, Hilton aims to provide a unique selling point with its proximity to the city”s Palacio de Congresos (Congress Hall).
”Our ambition is to leverage off the important flow of events coming into the city to successfully launch the biggest internationally branded business and meetings hotel in Valencia,” said general manager, Manuel Avila.
The hotel comprises two towers ” one of 29 stories and one of 14 ” and has 304 rooms, with Executive Rooms located between the 22nd and 29th floors of the main tower. The Executive Floor lounge serves complimentary breakfast, evening drinks and snacks and private check-in / check-out facilities.
Hilton has also brought its new room concept to Valencia with ten Relaxation Rooms, which offer three distinct zones: bath, work and leisure. They are more spacious than most and feature wooden floors, an ergonomically designed work space, with a Jacuzzi and separate TV in the bathroom.
Meetings facilities include 18 function rooms, a ballroom with an 800-delegate capacity and a full-service business centre. There is also a spa and fitness centre with an indoor pool and there is access to the waterfront via a short tram, subway or bus ride.
