Golden Tulip has signed a franchise agreement with the Golden Tulip Amsterdam-Vinkeveen with new owners M. Caransa BV and operator European Hotel Management.
The hotel group is keen to attract business travellers, and has plans to transform the property into a 130 all-suite room hotel, with state-of-the-art meeting and conference facilities, new restaurant, bar and lounge and a leisure centre.
The hotel, which is situated just off the A2 Amsterdam - Utrecht motorway in the village of Vinkeveen, currently has 65 suites, a conference centre for up to 200 delegates, and a sauna and solarium. It is about 20 minutes droive from Schiphol Airport.
In another development the hotel group has selected Amadeus, the travel technology and distribution company, to help support their plans for global expansion. Amadeus will provide its Property Management System (PMS) to centralise the hotel group”s internal system, offering access to information across the company. Staff will be able to recognise guests and deliver a more personal approach as reservations, rates and check-in and check-out dates from each property will all be available from the one programme.
The company has also chosen Amadeus” Revenue Management System (RMS), enabling analysis and forecasts on revenues to assist with possible growth opportunities and cross-selling across all the hotels. Amadeus will host and maintain the applications remotely through an Application Service Provider (ASP).
