Steigenberger Airport Hotel in Frankfurt is nearing the end of extensive remodelling, which upon completion at the end of August will make it Germany”s first ”Certified Conference Hotel”
Its certification represents a binding standard for conference hotels as set by the Business Travel Association of Germany (VDR), the German Society for Association Management (DGVM) and the German Convention Bureau (GCB).
Covering 2,000sq m (6,562sq ft), the hotel”s conference facilities include 38 meeting rooms, the largest of which holds up to 1,000 delegates. All have electronic media control via built-in and mobile touch screen technology, projectors, 40-inch (102cm) monitors, video conferencing facilities and wireless LAN connection. Images with sound can also be broadcast in the foyer areas.
In addition, the hotel offers 6,000sq m of outdoor space, which can also be hired for events and used as an extension to the indoor facilities, whose ground floor location allows for vehicle access to every room.
The hotel”s Executive Tower has also undergone significant refurbishments to its 94 rooms and ten suites, all of which have been installed with wireless LAN, flat screen TV and individually adjustable air conditioning.
Business travellers staying in the Executive Tower are ensured fast track check-in and check-out via a separate reception desk and all are provided with complimentary local calls and use of the Open Sky Wellness area. The Executive Lounge offers breakfast, dedicated concierge service and business centre.
