FOUR SEASONS latest UK hotel has quietly hosted its first clients, in hotelspeak ”a soft opening”. The five star Dogmersfield Park, lies just off the M3 between junctions 4a and 5, 30 miles from Heathrow and 40 miles from Southampton airport. The Grade II heritage-listed Georgian manor house, heart of the hotel today, was built in 1728 as a private residence for Martha and Ellis St John. In the 1980s two new wings in keeping with the original design were added. As a hotel Dogmersfield Park provides 133 guestrooms and 22 suites each offering breathtaking views over the countryside. But before someone realises that the hotel is perfect for Farnborough Four Seasons tells ABTN that it is already fully booked for the air show. For the executive jet base it is ideal, just 7 miles or perhaps 15 minutes away. The hotel comes fully ”on-line” by 1 May when the Spa, canal boat, equestrian centre and tennis courts will be completed.
