Wyndham Hotel Group has opened its first Ramada-branded hotel in Belgium, under a franchise agreement with the PREM Group, an Irish-owned company that develops and manages hotels and serviced apartments in Ireland, the UK and Northern Europe
The Ramada Plaza Antwerp is located in the heart of the city's business district, opposite De Singel cultural centre and a short walk from Antwerp Expo, the city”s exhibition arena.
There are 210-rooms at the hotel, which all include wireless internet connection and en suite bathrooms with separate bath and shower. Other guest facilities include a business centre, gym and function suite.
”The Ramada Plaza Antwerp is a prime opportunity to build on the success of the brand in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Germany,” said senior vice president and managing director of international operations, Sean Worker.
PREM Group managing director, Jim Murphy, also highlighted Belgium as a key location as he said the company is negotiating on ”a number of other properties in Europe,” in response to what he termed a ”significant upturn” in the European market.
