Having recently refurbished its meeting and conference facilities, Hong Kong”s Eaton Hotel has unveiled a single but exclusive new room: the BizSuite.
The new BizSuite is a 37m” (398 ft”) one-bedroom with study. It provides an integrated laptop docking system ” with complementary wired and wireless broadband, the ”Eaton Easy Chair” (desk chair), a 4-in-1 fax/ scanner/ printer/ copier, three LCD screens (located in the bedroom, study and bathroom), the usual amenities, and the new iHome: alarm/ clock/ stereo/ iPod dock.
All BizSuite bookings come with additional perks: a limousine transfer from Hong Kong International Airport, a 45min foot massage per night, 2h daily use of the boardroom, and free dry cleaning. A late check-out option for business guests ” at 4pm ” is available upon request.
”Our new BizSuites are fully equipped with all the latest technology required by business travellers,” said Eaton Hotel general manager, Bob van den Oord.
”The BizSuite is part of the Eaton”s US$18m (”9m) makeover,” said a spokesperson. ”The hotel targets business travellers with its ”Cosmopolitan China Chic” of East meets West charm, contemporary style and exceptional value-for-money.”
Eaton Hotel has 461 rooms and is located 40min from Hong Kong International Airport, on Nathan Road, in downtown Kowloon ” near Jordan MTR station and 10min from Star Ferry.
Recent renovations include a 24h business centre ” with high-speed internet, secretarial support (typing, translating), administrative assistance (faxing, emailing, printing, courier service, book binding and business card printing) and IT support, and a 3000 m2 banquet and conference centre, with 3 ballrooms and 8 function rooms.
The $5.3m 820 m2 Diamond Ballroom provides a 3m high, 3m wide LCD projection screen. Its seating arrangements can be varied to cater for 46 people across 12 tables; a 500-capacity auditorium; or a 380-capacity auditorium with a head table. Alternatively, the venue can be partitioned into seven smaller meeting rooms.
Video and tele- conferencing facilities are provided upon request, with an Event Manager and Audio-Visual Manager on hand to assist with hosting and/or organising meetings, conferences and events. Recent clients include Sony, HSBC, and Johnson & Johnson.
Other facilities include: an executive lounge ” the E-Club (above), a cyber caf”, wireless broadband in all public areas, a computer store, equipment rental, a 24h lobby lounge and free local calls. The hotel restaurant offers nouvelle Cantonese cuisine.
