Up to ten budget hotels across Germany will be opened under the easyHotel name during the next four years.
EasyHotel has signed a Master Franchise Agreement with i.gen hotels, in a deal that will see them become one of Europe”s major players in the budget environment and which is the group”s largest European deal to date.
Further, as yet, unspecified plans are under way to open up to 60 new franchises across Europe during the next three years.
EasyGroup chairman, Stelios Haji-Ioannou, said: ”EasyHotel is all about low cost and efficiency and offers our guests well-equipped, clean, safe, en-suite bedrooms in urban locations. Signing this Master Franchise Agreement with i.gen is a significant move into the German market for easyHotel.com.
”Germany is a huge market and this expansion demonstrates our commitment to building the easyHotel brand globally and working with experienced partners such as i.gen hotels, who have a wealth of knowledge about the German hotel sector.”
