IHG has revealed plans to build a 264-room Crowne Plaza hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico by mid-2009.
The hotel will be located near the Hato Rey Business District and is minutes away from the Luis Munoz Marin International Airport.
This will be the second Crown Plaza hotel to open in the Caribbean.
”Puerto Rico has long been considered a mainstay for international leisure and business travel in the Caribbean and we look forward to providing guests with the brand”s industry-leading amenities, including the meetings services and Sleep Advantage programme,” said vice president of brand management, Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts in the Americas, Gina LaBarre.
The Sleep Advantage programme - to create the most restful environment possible - includes new bedding, wake-up calls, designated quiet zones; night lights and sleep CD”s.
Amenities within the hotel will include a casino, fitness centre, valet and self-parking, and a business centre.
