Malta-based Corinthia Hotels International has signed a long-term management agreement with Golden Sands Hotel Company for its first property in Dubai.
The all-suite Ramada Hotel & Suites Jumeirah Beach will comprise 371 rooms and is set to open in January 2008 as part of the larger Jumeirah Beach Residence master complex.
Situated 15 minutes from central Dubai on a 1.7km stretch between Jumeirah Beach and the Marina in close proximity to the Internet and Media Cities, the complex features 36 residential and four hotel towers ” the largest single phase project of its kind at 2m sq m.
The hotel will include all day dining, a speciality restaurant, gym and fitness room, outdoor swimming pool, secure underground parking and a variety of meeting rooms.
Having signed a joint venture agreement with US-based Wyndham Worldwide in August 2006, Corinthia now manages all Wyndham, Ramada and Corinthia hotels in the EMEA region.
As a result, a number of Corinthia”s four-star properties are to be re-branded as Ramada hotels, while seven of its most luxurious are to make up Corinthia Premier Collection and be affiliated with a new tier in the Wyndham portfolio, Wyndham Grand Collection.
These include Corinthia Towers Hotel (Prague), Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal (Budapest), Corinthia Bab Africa (Tripoli), Corinthia Palace Hotel and Corinthia san Gorg Hotel (Malta), Corinthia Lisboa Hotel (Lisbon) and Corinthia Nevskij Hotel (St.Petersburg).
