Serviced apartment specialist Cheval has expanded its brand beyond its Residences portfolio with the launch of Cheval Collection, a platform to grow the brand internationally.
Cheval Collection encompasses the Residences and newly-created Maison portfolios. The company says it is actively looking to manage third party assets and invest in new properties, both in the UK and overseas, that will result in Cheval offering a diverse range of products in key locations around the world.
The Cheval Residences portfolio currently encompasses eight properties with 512 apartments in London with a focus on both leisure and business or relocation stays. The first Cheval property opened in Knightsbridge in 1983, and its latest building, Cheval Gloucester Park, is due to open in 2019.
Meanwhile, the new Cheval Maison brand will also be suited to business and leisure travel. Guests will receive a welcome basket on arrival, a ‘grab and go’ facility with drinks and snacks available to purchase, communal space designed for working and socialising, a daily cleaning service with linens changed every three days and access to a calendar of community events and exclusive offers.
Commenting on the expansion plans, George Westwell, CEO of Cheval Collection, said: “With over 35 years’ experience in the accommodation sector, developing and managing luxury serviced apartments and residences, Cheval is one of the most experienced luxury operators in the marketplace and we are thrilled to be continuing to evolve by launching Cheval Collection, a new holding company to build on the success of Cheval Residences – eight properties in prime locations across central London.
“Cheval Collection has extensive expertise and resource available to take on new projects, from inception to opening – alongside support functions across the business, from technical services, operations and facilities management to revenue and reservations, human resources and sales and marketing. Properties within Cheval Collection will be located worldwide and we are very much looking forward to sharing the new locations for our properties, and the first Cheval Maison, in due course.”
